There are general instructions for all applicants; it is important that you start with Step 1 and then work your way through the remaining steps in order to submit the right documents in the right way.

Meeting the English requirement - bachelor's and master's level studies

From your upper secondary studies, you can meet the English requirement with:

  • English Niveau A
  • English Niveau B if you graduated 2008 and later

If you’re documenting your English based on your upper secondary studies, you must provide upper secondary documents in order to demonstrate you meet the requirement. Please submit your upper secondary documents as indicated below under ’For bachelor’s level studies’.

You can also demonstrate that you meet the English language requirement through certain university studies, or an internationally approved English test. Find out more at the following link:

For bachelor's level studies:

The following upper secondary degrees meet the general criteria.

  • Almen Studentereksamen (STX)
  • Højere teknisk studentereksamen (HTX)
  • Højere merkantil studentereksamen  (HHX)
  • Højere forberedelseseksamen (HF) 

Please note the following:

  • Eksamensprotokol, Karaktermeddelelse and Kladde cannot be accepted as they are not officially issued documents.
  • Eksamensbevis hørende til gymnasiereformen 2005 cannot be accepted as it does not contain grades, åskarakterer and prövekarakterer

For master's level studies:

For entry to a Master's programme, the minimum requirement is a 180 ECTS Bachelor’s degree, Professionsbachelor or Cand. phil., Cand. Sciens, etc.

  • If you have a top-up Bachelor's degree or if part of your degree studies were completed in a country other than Denmark, please remember to submit documentation (copies of transcripts and degree certificate, if applicable) of these previous academic studies. Your documentation must clearly state that these credits were accepted by the Danish institution (that you received credit for these studies), either as transfer credits or as prerequisites for entering the programme.
